How can we understand and map the emerging civic media movement? We've just published the Civic Media Census Report and are currently canvassing feedback to shape an expansion and future iteration. The research aims to understand the characteristics, values, and practices of local civic media—a growing movement of organizations that advocate for journalism as a tool for change.
